Analysing User Data – To check age/gender of users and then match designs and UX to them.

Thinking like them – Would they like a video at the top of the content? A short introduction or summary?  Build things intentionally.

Check the Competition – Learn from them, and be better. Being almost as good is not enough.

Monitor and improve – Use tools (heatmap/usage recording) to check user behavior, drop-off points, etc, and improve your website as more is learned about your site visitors.

Conversion Funnel Analysis – Where are they converting?  From the home page CTA? In-content banners?

Reviews – Are they being actively gathered and incorporated into the site with the correct schema? Google loves genuine reviews.

Comments – Many sites have them turned off to cut costs.  That might be a mistake.  Comments often contain questions your new site visitors want answered. reddit is one big commentary and is currently dominating Google results.

Chatbots are now superpowered – Always useful, a chatbot that can pre-empt a user’s desire for assistance and provide it.  Super useful and can increase sales, but it’s also SEO.  Anything that makes the user happier is SEO.

Don’t forget Desktop! – Your traffic might be mostly mobile, but desktop users are more likely to spend.

Mobile Speed is Essential – A slow mobile site will bleed visitors. Don’t check site speed on mobiles in the office, check it as if you are in the underground. Images must be sized for mobiles.
